E-Coating: the Cost Effective solution for Sarnia-Lambton

Opposites Attract to form E-Coating

E-coating is a method of paint application that uses electrical current to deposit the paint. Our process is a Cathodic electro-coat which means a negative electrical charge(-) is applied to metal parts and positively charged paint particles (+) are attracted to the negative metal. (In an Anodic process the part would be positively(+) charged and the paint would be negative.) Cathodic E-Coatings are high performance coatings that perform well on a variety of metal substrates, are very durable and have good corrosion and salt spray resistance.

Standard E-Coating Sequence

A standard E-Coating sequence starts with Load, Cleaner, Water Rinse, Rinse Conditioner, Phosphate, Water rinse, Non-Chrome Sealer, Deionized Water, E-coat Dip Tank, Permeate Rinse 1, Permeate Rinse 2, Water Rinse 3, then parts are cured within our oven to set the E-Coating. Once the E-Coating is complete, we carefully unload and then pack the e-coated parts ready for shipment to your business, or directly to your customer.
